Pecora 896 FC High Performance Silicone Window & Door Sealant is a one-part, neutral-curing, medium-modulus silicone sealant purpose-built for the fenestration industry. Its fast-cure formulation skins in as little as 8–15 minutes and cures through a ¼" bead in under 24 hours — significantly reducing holding times in shop fabrication and accelerating finished unit shipment. Pecora 896 FC delivers high strength with ±50% dynamic movement capability and 550% elongation, making it equally dependable as a shop bedding compound or a field weatherseal for window and door perimeter installation. It bonds without primer to most non-porous fenestration substrates including vinyl, PVC, Kynar 500/Hylar 5000 coated metals, anodized aluminum, and wood, and is compatible with all tested insulating glass units.
Ideal For: In-shop fabrication of wood, vinyl, and aluminum/steel sash windows as a primary bedding compound; cap, toe, and heel beads; seam sealing; perimeter weatherseal for field glazing; and window and door installation in both residential and commercial applications.
