Soudal Soudacryl Acoustical Smoke & Sound Sealant is a one-part, acrylic latex sealant formulated for both interior and exterior construction joints where smoke control and sound attenuation are required. When applied as two beads at the top, bottom, and all perimeter edges per ASTM C919, it achieves an STC rating of 53 — significantly reducing sound transmission through walls, partitions, and ceiling runners. Water cleanup, low odour, and just 10 g/L VOC make it one of the most contractor-friendly acoustical sealants available.
Ideal For: Smoke and sound sealing at wall and partition perimeters, ceiling runners, baseboards, trim, window and door joints, and any interior construction joint where moderate movement is anticipated and acoustic separation is specified. Not for continuous water immersion or vehicular/foot traffic applications.
