NuFlex® 446 Acoustical Vapour Barrier Adhesive is a specially formulated, non-skinning, non-hardening, permanently flexible butyl adhesive engineered for vapour barrier installation and acoustical sealing applications. Unlike conventional sealants, NuFlex 446 never cures or hardens — maintaining its flexible, airtight seal over the lifetime of the assembly to prevent vapour infiltration and minimize sound transmission between spaces. It bonds reliably to polyethylene vapour barrier film, wood, and metal without priming, and performs in application temperatures as low as -20°C, making it well suited for year-round use in Canadian construction.
Ideal For: Perimeter sealing of polyethylene vapour barriers over fibreglass batt and other insulations, metal roof panel rib sealing, bedding sealant applications, and acoustical assemblies where improved STC ratings are required.
